Adoptable Cats
Call the shelter at (804) 580-6156 for questions about adoption and available pets. Please leave your name, phone number and a message if there is no answer. You may also contact the shelter by e-mail at shelter@northumberlandsheriff.net
This page is dedicated to all of the cats waiting for their forever homes. Their vaccinations are current. If they have not been spayed or neutered at the time of adoption, you'll receive a certificate for spaying/neutering (generously provided by the Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck). If you have questions about adoptable pets, call the Shelter at (804) 580-6156.
Additionally, we now have a new, easy, and exciting way to make a donation on behalf of the dogs and cats at our Shelter. Both Amazon and Chewy now have a Gift Registry specifically created for the Northumberland County Animal Shelter. These are items that are needed for both dogs and cats which will enhance their living conditions, health, and overall enjoyment while residing in our Shelter.
It is VERY simple to use. Simply click on the Donate thru Amazon button or the Donate thru Chewy button at the top of the page and begin shopping. Select the items you wish to give to the Shelter. It's that easy!! We will modify this Gift Registry from time to time as animal needs change.
Enith
Hey Everyone! My name is Enith and my siblings are Arlo, Boris, Czar, and Danya
I am one of 5 kittens brought to the Shelter and it’s been a blast hanging out with my 4 siblings. I know pretty soon, though, we will be split up and go our separate ways. I’m looking forward to my forever home and am hoping that my new owner will consider the Shelter deal right now and take me and one of my siblings together since it’s 2 for 1 through July 31st. That would make us all so happy – maybe another human will take 3 of us and we can all stay in touch. Dogs have play dates – cats can do that as well!! Please come visit and let me convince you to adopt.
